Tarian Marks is just a dude.  I write about what I stand for and stand for what I write.  I’m a software engineer by day and by night and a poet at any time it’s needed.  Forever a husband and father of 3, a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and a friend who strives to be the greatest friend ever.  

I’m a follower of Jesus Christ and live that in every inch of my physical, spiritual, and mental.  

I love Detroit and I’m an ambassador and defender of the city and all that it encompasses.  I’m a backpack Hip-Hop fanatic, a shower singer of Soul and R&B, an air jazz instrumentalist, and a head-nodding, air guitaring, rock artist.  There are few sports that I don’t love.

All of that is just an intro to explain what fuels my writing.  My poems are a touch of observation mixed with the full compliment of effect and affection.  Experience handles the wheel, but inspiration is the fuel and the accelerator.
